Tying the Cased Caddis

Cased Caddis

The Cased Caddis pattern has countless versions tied and fished over the years. Many have filled my boxes and have proven very effective. This is the most productive pattern I have been fishing locally in recent years. It is an unweighted version in which I prefer to fish with split-shot placed 12'18" above the fly in order to allow increased movement in the current as it is swept downstream.
