Topwater in February

Springtime in February

With 3 days of 70 degree weather in a row, my hopes were that something would be active.  My choice was the most shallow of the lakes that I frequent, thinking the water just may have warmed up enough to get some fish looking up.

My rewards.....2 dozen or so just like this one to a #10 Foam Butt Caddis.

Once the sun came up high I noticed fish chasing and switched to a black woolybugger....and found 1/4 pounders that barely let the fly move before taking. Nothing of size, but fun none-the-less.

1st fish on top for the February.  And a day on the water with the CGR.

No complaints.
